Meet Trang

Ever since I could remember, I've enjoyed creating in some way shape or form. Little did I know that my artistic side would eventually extend to the modeling world. I think we've all had silly dreams as younger kids and mine were no exception. As a little girl, I imagined becoming a model after flipping through magazines and watching television but they were just that to me... dreams. As evidenced by a number of older photos where a pocket-sized version of me could be found dramatically posing and "smizing," I was a real beauty queen. My childhood dreams began to fade away and I eventually became more focused on academics and art. Now I live the American dream and work a 9-5 job with a useless college degree... the end. Just kidding. Except for the useless college degree part.

Fast forward a couple of years later and now I'm here... ironically doing freelance modeling work. It wasn't and still isn't an easy road. The beauty and fashion industry can be a very cruel place, especially when you're in the minority. I don't exactly represent the standard of beauty being Vietnamese American, petite, and adorned with tattoos/piercings. After years of struggling with my self-image, I've finally found my niche. I don't believe in an archetypal definition of beauty... it is not static and can be found anywhere. My mission is to spread the message that diversity is beautiful. I am versatile and that can be shown in the breadth of my work. I pride myself in being a chameleon. Thanks to my unorthodox upbringing, I've always been encouraged to think freely and outside-of-the-box. I want my work to eventually challenge the status quo and evoke some sort of emotion or thought. Work with me and see what I'm all about!

Enough of my modeling back story, here's me in a nutshell: I currently reside in Atlanta. My zodiac sign is Cancer... Cancer-Leo cusp if you want to be technical (and Dragon being my Chinese one). I'm obsessed with my dogs and animals in general. I find great joy in nerdy things like cartoons, comic books, video games, cosplay, and conventions. I spend my free time daydreaming, philosophizing, reading, writing, adventuring outdoors, listening to music, finding amazing food spots, starting (and never finishing) projects, and doing yoga. I am a collector of figurines, random knickknacks, and oddities. Laughing and traveling are my favorite things to do. If I could describe myself by using one noun, I would say that I am a wallflower.
